In a world with cell phones, clocks seem to be irrelevant, right? Wrong! I don’t agree with such statements at all. In fact, sitting in my room & typing on my laptop, my instinct is to check time on my pretty wall clock, near the door. And I know, if I remove the clock from that place, my eyes would still go to that spot. At least a few times in a day.
More importantly, clocks give a great feel to the room and are very important at setting the tone of a room. For instance, a bright pink clock on a dull grey wall, would change your perspective of the space. It would go from plain (and sometimes boring) to attractive. With this in mind, I want to share 15 brilliant, simple & personalised DIY clock designs, that anyone can make.
ETCHED ICON CLOCK
First, I want to share this super cute clock, my best friend gave me a few years ago. It’s got etched glass with 3 icons instead of numbers. All 3 relate to specific thing that I love – painting, writing and reading. And cats playing at the bottom, for our mutual love of kittens. The paper in the back, can be changed to blend with any room. Needless to say, it means a lot to me and looks fantastic in any space.
Another way to make this, would be to use clear stickers, that can be pasted on glass. Let me know if you’re interested in the idea and i’ll share the needed template.
Now, lets go through the best clock tutorials online. They are from some of my favorite blogs. In fact, I’ve already made a few of them – to use and to gift.
