I promise this is the last Valentine’s Day DIY for the year. Almost. For this one, we wanted to share something which is a card and an activity for you to make with your favourite person in the world. That’s why I think Bae is such an appropriate term – it could be for your partner, your best friend, a special person. It just works.
Plus, it’s incredibly simple to make. Don’t believe me? Check out our tutorial video and it’ll explain everything!
Note: If you’re making while watching, I would recommend pausing the video in spaces to follow along better.
When I made this for my BFF, I did the red set of fingerprints and mailed it to her, with a black stamp pad. Then, she did the other half in black and had it framed as a keepsake. You can also keep it as a scroll. But, I would recommend placing it in a plastic bag, or the paper will spoil with time.
My friend and I are both crafts obsessed, so this was the perfect Card Finger Painting DIY for us. Because, we got a chance to make something together despite being in different countries. And, I think the overlapping fingerprints look very cute.
Things to remember:
- You should definitely use thinner paper to make this DIY. As two layers will crack otherwise, when rolled up.
- If you don’t have stamp pad, then you can use very little paint to make the fingerprints. However, stamp pads and ink work the best.
