But, it just goes to show that you can surprise yourself. Because, I did go through some of the DIYs I made months yesterday. And it just gave me a warm fuzzy feeling. This only reinforces that I want to unabashedly re-share ideas from a while back. Even though the writing and the photos and a thousand other details make me cringe. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll look back to this post and wonder what I was thinking. Ha ha!

Another important detail for this post is that I actually have tutorials for the ideas I’m sharing today! So, just click through the underlined portion for the steps. And let me know if you have any questions.

Steps on how to make potpourri at home

First, I want to talk about these potpourri bags. They were one of my first attempts at making potpourri & I was a bit nervous about the scents blending. But, as it turns out, the ones we chose (mint, orange, cinnamon, cloves & green cardamom) mix really well in different combinations and amounts. And the scent is very strong!

10 minute paper lanterns

Next, are these paper lanterns that I’ve been making since I was a teenager. They are so easy to make (about 5-10 minutes) and there is so much, one can do with the base design. No wonder, we use them so often.

Here are the steps on how to make them!

woven stars tutorial

Last for this month’s look back, are my origami paper stars. I remember what a mess I made of the first one. It took forever to complete. But once I had the technique down, the rest of the stars were a piece of cake. What I enjoyed about these stars, was the different ways in which we used them. Maybe I still have a couple of them left. Must check.

The tutorial for these stars is through here.

That’s it for now! What craft idea have you been making for aeons. Let us know in the comments below.
